Valverde should’ve left after Roma, period. Florentino Perez would have got hold of this situation much earlier, which tells a lot about the different styles of the 2 presidents. One is strong and assertive while the other is weak and insecure. And this come from a Barça fan.
Valverde should have been sacked long ago even at the roma loss. the board is just fken stupid. so stop making excuses that it's been rushed or what the fuck ever. the whole world was waiting for this.

I havent been this excited to see barcelona play under Quique Setien, since the Pep Guardiola eria. Even if Barcelona looses on sunday. all i care about is how they play. I have barely wacthed a barcelona game since the loss to Liverpool. now i can't wait to see what Quique Setien can bring to the team.
After the departure of Neymar Valverde handled things very very well. And you have to give him credit for that. Everyone thought Barcelona would struggle but he managed quite well But after Roma debacle he shouldn't have continued or atleast After that Liverpool night
Shouldn't have ever even been hired; the signs were there for those who could tell. Should've at least been sacked after Roma. And most definitely, without a single damn excuse, should've either been sacked or should've – if he had any dignity – resigned after Anfield and the Copa Del Rey Final loss.

Agree that he was professional and a gentleman, even if he might have been in over his head at such a big club. I like that he didn't jump around like a clown like Klopp or grab his balls like Simone. He kept a poker face and didn't act like someone doing a YouTube reaction video to his own coaching.

Thank you for that top notch analysis Guillem. New subscriber. My sense is that Valverde either was a coward or "practical" to a fault. Either way, IMO the best on Club the planet deserves better. Setién is at least a distinct footballing personality. I'll take that and hope for yet more. Visça Barça!
It will be interesting to see what Valverde does next. As for Setién, I expect to see players expressing themselves more on the pitch under him…

Setien is the one who can bring us back, but most importantly our players have to show professionalism. Pep had the balls to bench players if they were being unprofessional. I hope setien can motivate this current squad. We have an excellent squad, it would be a shame if we can't play good football

Xavi did good decision because he didn't want to manage the team under Bartomeu regime. And what Bartomeu wants from Xavi was his name to help him to be elected again as president of the club
Valverde should be sacked efter Rome game and some players backed him(Suarez, Messi, Pique..) becuase they could do what they want.
