With the transfer window rapidly approaching, ESPN FC’s Craig Burley and Gab Marcotti discuss what kind of business the Blues could do in January. Despite now being able to spend, Burley says his former club should only do so if they find the right player. Marcotti agrees, but he also identifies a few positions where Chelsea could strengthen.

There is not really any glaring holes that cannot wait until summer. Good starting 11, decent cover for all positions. Upgrading can wait until the end of the season.
Probably Chelsea will only sign someone if someone from their existing roster leaves or gets injured.

0 percent chance that chillwell would sign for them in the january…not sure about summer too …leics has a better squad than chelsea…the only sensible option would be spend high on Sancho and get ake for the defense

Left Back. Alonso is a wing back and Emerson can go hot and cold.
Centre Back: Our most experienced centre half is Rudiger, who isn't that experienced. An older centre back would not hurt to have to replace David Luiz.
Winger: Just because Sancho is unsettled.
We are good with our youth,no need for transfers.
