Nearly 60 thousand fans gathered at the Hard Rock stadium in Miami Gardens in Florida to watch FC Barcelona beat SSC Napoli 2-1in the inaugural La Liga-Serie A Cup game on Wednesday.
Sergio Busquets and Ivan Rakitic scored for the Catalan club while Samuel Umtiti responded with one goal for Napoli.
“By showing quality, a lot of quality in the game we had a lot of opportunities, we have managed the exits from behind well, we have created opportunities,” said Napoli manager Carlo Ancelotti at a news conference.
The second leg of the two-game series is taking place on Saturday in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
