1) turn the difficulty up
2) the whole thing is wrong. Messi plays the CF and the striker gets thrown on the wing
3) midfielders should be on free roam so that they can make runs or come short based on the circumstances
4) Busquets plays zonal defense, so leave it on standard defense
5) regular possession doesn't cut it. Use custom settings to shorten passing distance and to pressure higher on the field and double-player pressure.
6) pass through the midfield. Don't dribble
7) make sure your wingers come short. They are essential to spreading and creating space.
