TBH, I'm not happy with the win. Simply because it makes it seem as if everything is okay and all the CLEAR cracks in our team are covered up and not addressed. We won today solely on the individual brilliance of Lionel Messi. Our team performance was poor. There isn't any team chemistry and we lack creativity in attack. We had a hand full of goalscoring opportunities and we never showed any real threat except for when Messi had the ball. Our number 9 showed no attacking threat up until the 69th minute, where he was ruled offside and it was a tap in. Instead of giving Griezmann a chance to play the number 9 role we keep playing him out of position. Compared to teams such as Liverpool, Man City and Bayern Munich (our competitors in the CL), we are miles away in terms of creativity, team morale and team chemistry. These league victories are making us ignore our weaknesses and they WILL catch up on us later on in the season. Don't expect a CL trophy anytime soon if you're a Barcelona fan. Yes, we won. Yes, Messi scored two brilliant goals. Yes, he nutmegged twice in the game. But the overall team performance wasn't great.

Take out Messi's performance, it wasn't a spectacular performance from the team, IMO. We won't have it this easy in a champion's league. We should be measured by our performances in the champions league. Would we have fared well against a champion's league team playing this way?
