ESPN FC’s Shaka Hislop and Steve Nicol break down Lionel Messi’s stellar performance for Barcelona in their win over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League. While Messi continues to thrive at Barca, the FC guys believe the squad are far too reliant on his “superhuman” performances over the years.

Or can they?
It's funny how this English men call Mancity the favourite all the time, but they fail to all the time ?
To be fair Messi great but he gets to do whatever he wants it kind of creates an unbalance
Apparently, we can (tonight's win against Atléti)
Waiting for Ronaldo 116th penalty?
Leo Messi leaves you speachless everytime, his impact on the game, plays and stats are just from another planet! These are just alien performaces, for someone who steps up in human form! Put the crown on Leo Messi' head ??
Brasil Argentina 5 – 2, Real Barca 13 – 5, Sorry
Messi cannot do it alone, he needs the team for reaching a trophy….
??????✌♥?
it would help if barcelona had a coach that wasn't a grinch
Those stats are fucking bonkers. I can’t even do that in manager mode ?
Barca has NO defense.
Pique is really slow & parties too much!
Sergi Roberto & Jordi Alba r really soft defending too.
Why not? They demand it from CR7, so why not from Messi?
As fantastic as Messi has been this calendar year, Lewandowski has been better because he scored more goals in as many games played:
– 53 played / 45 goals / 17 assists for Messi
– 53 played / 51 goals / 11 assists for Lewandowski
They're actually involved in the same number of goals but Messi's best part of the year comes from last season while Lewandowski's comes from this season, as his 27 goals in 20 games @ club level this season only can attest.
What I love about this is they blame Messi for not winning a world cup but don't do the same with the Champions league. I love Messi and these people are so two faced when it comes to the magician
Shaka, he's superhuman by nature!!!
Imagine if we had a coach like klopp for the past seasons instead of Valverde….
Bayern are going to destroy one of these "favorites". Mark my words.
In career mode in FIFA, I would struggle to get 613 goals and 230+ assist in 700 games. Messi is unbelievable.
Messi was superhuman last season but his teammates were just amateurs. Dembele slots away that fourth in Camp Nou in Barcelona and Liverpool probably don't even attempt a come back from it.
I just find it so crazy that with the worst Barcelona side in years we are still winning the league and are favorites to win champions league. Imagine if we actually had decent manager
Wow i am stund Chaka talks good about Messi …wow…
That's good because he's old and not the player he used to be even two years ago.
I think the Haters will love watching this video but can't type something that makes sense in the comments.
Sadly
Messi started at Barca on the right wing .
When pep came along he moved to a false 9 .
When Suarez Joined Messi moved back to the right wing .
When Neymar left Messi played pretty much the whole season in a deeper midfield role and he still scored 50 ish goals .
Then he moved further forward the next season but still central behind Suarez .
Then when Griezmann joined he moved back to the right wing again .
If Messi stayed playing in one position at Barca for the last 9-10 years , the most deadly position to get the absolute best out of him , would it be possible that his stats would be even more ridiculous than they already are !!!
