New signing Frenkie de Jong believed the Catalan giants would be competing on every front this year, while local boy Carles Alena seemed encouraged by rumours that Neymar would return to Barca.
Fresh off their victory of the inaugural La Liga-Serie A cup, Barca begin their domestic campaign against Athletic Bilbao on August 16.
Napoli have a longer wait, kicking off the 2019-20 season against Fiorentina on August 24.
