Everyone saying Souness is on crack, 99% of the time you are right, but sorry on this occasion you are WRONG!
Firstly, after reading comments and seeing some people say Dembele is better than Zaha makes it very obvious that where a player plies his trade CAN hurt him badly.
You're only saying these things as Zaha plays for Palace. Had he been doing this for Tottenham for 3 years you'll not be so sure as to say 'Souness is smoking something'.
Zaha is may not be significantly better than Dembele, but he is defo better, NO DEBATING. His stats as well as game intelligence (which has improved dramatically in the last 3 seasons) proves this. If you watched some games (hell…just watch highlights of the Champs League alone) and you'll see Dembele's shocking (and I mean SHOCKING) decision making.
Most of it is due to his age and lack of experience (which he will gain) but THAT is EXACTLY why Zaha is better than him. We are talking of very similar players here, attacking, fast, skilful, athletic etc but the main differences being one is older and plays for a mid-table club, while the other is younger with A LOT of potential but plays for arguably the best club in the world.
Put it this way, had the roles been reversed and Dembele was playing for Palace and Zaha playing for Barca, I would bet my bottom dollar that NONE of you saying Dembele is better will be saying the same thing. Why you ask?
Well because it is fairly obvious you go off what other (well respected) pundits (not souness) says and would have been saying something along the lines of 'oh but he lacks consistency, that's why I can't put him above Zaha…but he WILL be better than Zaha in the future, no doubt'. That is EXACTLY what you'll be saying as to not sound foolish infront of others that dictate the decisions you make.
You'll not only mention Dembele's inconsistency (which is coming from his attitude problems) but no doubt take Zaha's stats A LOT more serious as he'll have been doing it for 'BARCELONA' for a coupe seasons. I mean stats wise, Zaha is above Dembele, playing for a WORSER TEAM, so how on earth could you say he's not better.
