But it wasn't the fifa 11 that removed lots of features from the previous title, fifa 10 ?
They removed all these features so they could slowly add them back. This way they don't have to think of any new ideas, they can just re add old ones
Try playing FIFA 11 with Career Expansion Patch. This modification adds all European leagues, all South American leagues and some from the other continents. You can play for example with a team from San Marino and guide them to win Champions League.
The ratings thing is because you're just changing the title whilst they're in the same position on the pitch. If I remember correctly you can manually shift them throughout your formation.

Damn back when career mode was so simple. Honestly I feel like the last greats career mode was fifa 13, things were just so much more simple and efficient.
wow Fifa 11 was much better on PC than it was on the console lol, most of the features in this weren't on the console versions but all of this should've been in there, the funny thing was they made more work for themselves by taking features out, when they could've left them and not done any extra work lol and built on them over time. :S strange decisions
Your stats don't actually change because your rating lowers when you play a player out of position. It just displays how good he's there with his current stats.
You can throw Messi at CB in FIFA 18 and he'll keep his rating, but he's going to be a horrible CB because he doesn't have the defending stats.
another thing is getting rid of board objectives, most are unreasonable and for me, who loves to stay in lower leagues until i have found my YA prodigies, then go for promotions around year 3 or 4, I hate the ridiculous "getting sacked" even tho my club is winning and always vying for promotion, that is unrealistic.. You win, you have winning seasons, you finish top 5, your job should always be safe regardless..
I think retro would be great.. If you YTers stop playing current titles and send a message to EA we wont take this shit, maybe they might responds with a new completely overhauled game..
FIFA 13 Had the same features and had a better menu screen for career and the graphics were better
I dont think the stats of the players go down when you play them out of position its just that overalls are calculated differently for different positions so some stats become more important for certain positions therefore influencing the overall calculation. So no they technically havent noobified its just hidden now, which is pretty much as bad.
Gonna buy PES in 2019 in so sick of carrer mode getting worse every year for fifa
